Funding...
The Hardman Centre provides a vital resource in the Gateshead Community but it all needs to be paid for.
Local Authority funding (which helps with running costs including the wages we pay our staff) has fallen by almost £36,000 over a two-year period and now, in 2017, a 10% further reduction of £11,700 which brings our total loss to £47,600.
Some of the shortfall is raised by the Bede Methodist Circuit and some by those who support the work of the Centre but more is always needed to ensure that the premises are warm, secure and attractively decorated and furnished, and that we can continue to provide these important services to the people of Gateshead.
